LSE downs by 18.72 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 18.72 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5426.48 points and closed at 5407.76 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 915,800 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.232 million shares, showing a downward slide of 316,400 shares. While, out of the total 98 active scrips 20 moved up, 18 shed values and 60 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Thal Limited, Tariq Glass Industries Limited and Dewan Farooq Motors Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.27, Rs 1.80 and Re 0.94 respectively.

Mari Petroleum Company, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Oil Fields Limited lost their per share value by Rs 26.25, Rs 15.40 and Rs 8.50 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Dewan Farooq Motors Limited with 231,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 204,500 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 99,000 share.
