Bolan Mail's five bogies derailed near DMJ

The sabotage act has cut the provincial capital Quetta from rest of the country in respect of railway link.

"Unidentified men had planted about six-kg explosive material with the railway track and detonated it with remote control when Bolan Mail on its way from Karachi to Quetta ", police told APP.

Resultantly, the bomb explosion caused derailing of five bogies of the train while driver of the locomotive identified as Hakim Ali sustained serious injuries.

The injured was rushed to DMJ civil hospital for medical treatment.

Due to the bomb explosion, four-foot railway track up and also caused seven-foot deep ditch.

Law enforcement personnel and rescue teams rushed to the site soon after the incident and cordoned off the entire area in a bid to trace the suspect out.

A Pakistan Railway's engineers and technical staff team had initiated repairing work of the damaged portion of the railway track.

Further investigation was underway till the filing of the report.
