Taiwan sells 5-year government bonds at 1.245pc yield

TAIPEI: Taiwan auctioned T$34.538 billion ($1.14 billion) of 5-year government bonds at a yield of 1.245 percent, the central bank said on Thursday.

The Ministry of Finance was scheduled to auction T$40 billion in five-year treasury papers.

The central bank auctions government debt on behalf of the ministry.

The yield was within the range of 1.23 percent-1.26 percent forecast in a Reuters poll.
