Three more ships carrying containers and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at 54% at the Port on Thursday where a total of seven ships namely C.V Hammonia Pomerania, C.V Nele Maersk, M.V Tamil Nadu, M.V Salm Sapphire, M.T Chemroad Wing, M,T Neelam Bari and M.T Kassos are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, wheat palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 64,080 tonnes, comprising 54,532 tonnes imports and 9,548 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,494 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

Two ships including C.V Nele Maersk sailed out to sea during the last 24 hours, while two more ships C.V Hammonia Pomerania and M.V Tamil Nadu are expected to sail on Friday.

Two ships C.V Glory and M.T Gas Sulawesi carrying containers and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT and EVTL respectively on Friday.

Container ship MSC Aurelie is due to arrive at Port Qasim the same day, while another ships C.V Maersk Georgia is due to arrive on Sunday.
