LSE downs by 4.93 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 4.93 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5401.44 points and closed at 5396.51 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 675,800 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.436 million shares, showing a downward slide of 760,400 shares. While, out of the total 97 active scrips 12 moved up, 16 shed values and 69 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Treet Corporation Limited, Exide Pakistan Limited and Cyan Limited (Central) by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.68, Rs 4.99 and Rs 4.37 respectively.

Mari Petroleum Company, Pakistan Oil Fields Limited and Dawood Lawrencepur Limited lost their per share value by Rs 5.00, Rs 3.10 and Rs 1.50 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Worldcall Telecom Limited with 352,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 124,000 shares and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 50,000 shares.
