Indonesia government sees 5-6mn T rice surplus in 2011
JAKARTA : Indonesia will have a 5-6 million tonne rice surplus in 2011, the agriculture ministry said on Friday.

In March, the statistics bureau forecast a 4.29 million tonne rice surplus this year.
The statistics bureau said earlier on Friday it saw un-milled rice production at 68.06 million tonnes in 2011, a 1.1 percent increase from its March output forecast, but it did not give a new figure for a rice surplus.
