China finance ministry to issue 40bn yuan 3- and 5-year savings bonds

SHANGHAI: China's Ministry of Finance said it would issue as much as 40 billion yuan ($6.47 billion) of three- and five-year savings bonds in the interbank market from August 10 to 19.

The three-year and five-year bonds have a fixed annual yield of 5.00 and 5.41 percent, respectively.
