LSE gains 12.35 points

LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 12.35 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5490.05 points and closed at 5502.40 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 777,100 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.517 million shares, showing a downward slide of 745,700 shares. While, out of the total 79 active scrips 14 moved up, 13 shed values and 52 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Cherat Cement Company Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Engro Fertilizers Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.11, Rs 2.77 and Rs 1.32 respectively.

D.G. Khan Cement Company, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited were among top three, which lost their per share value by Rs 1.24, Re 0.69 and Re 0.33 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 221,000 shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 142,500 shares and Askari Bank Limited with 59,000 shares.
