China is Bayer's largest market in the Asia-Pacific region and the firm plans to expand its operations further in the country, CEO Marijn Dekkers told China Business News in an interview.
Total sales in China, the world's third-largest pharmaceutical market, was around 3 billion euros in 2010, accounting for 8.3 percent Bayer's global sales, Dekkers said.
Dekkers was quoted as saying in March the firm plans to nearly double total revenues from Brazil, Russia, India and China to about 10 billion euros by 2015.
