NEW YORK: The euro rallied against the dollar on Monday in a volatile session ahead of a key vote this week by the Greek parliament on austerity measures.

The euro rally was attributed by traders to sovereign demand for the single currency on dips.

The euro was last at $1.4220, up 0.2 percent on the day, and now well off the session low of $1.4101, according to Reuters data. The session high posted earlier at $1.4236.
