KABUL: Up to 38 people were killed in a bombing at an Afghan hospital, local officials said Sunday, increasing the previous toll from 20 dead.

The health director of Logar province where Saturday's blast happened, Mohammad Zaref Nayebkhail, put the death toll at 38, while the police chief of the district where it happened said that 33 people had been killed.
