Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at 62pc at the Port on Thursday where a total of eight ships namely C.V CSAV Pyrenees, C.V Nexoe Maersk, C.V CMA CGM Eiffel, M.V Sam Eagle, M.V Iidigo Ocean, M.V Oriental-II, M.V Acacia-N and M.T SC Guoji are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, cement and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 47,337 tonnes comprising 21,765 tonnes imports and 25,672 tonnes exports Inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,119 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Three container ships CSAV pyrenees, Nexoe Maersk and CMA CGM Eiffel sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while another ship M.T SC Guoji is expected to sail on same day.

Three ships C.V Glory, M.T Angle No. 11 and M.T Al-Buahaira carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT and FOTCO respectively on Friday, June 24.

Oil tanker Al-Salam-II is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day. M.T Kassos carrying furnace oil is due to arrive on Saturday, June 25, while C.V Maersk Wyoning, C.V Saudi Tabuk and Golden Ambrosia with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday, June 26.
