PTEA demands reduction in cost of doing business

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) has called for reducing cost of doing business to attain the competitive edge.

In a press statement issued here on Friday, PTEA Chairman Sheikh Ilyas Mahmood said that the cost of doing business in Pakistan has increased due to intermittent raise in the prices of raw material and production inputs rendering exports uncompetitive in international market.

He said textile industry in Punjab was facing the issue of competitiveness not only with rival countries but also within the country.

The PTEA Chief urged the government to take steps to save precious forex earning sector from disaster.
