Meanwhile, three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 80% at the Port on Tuesday where a total of nine ships namely MSC Nedlloyed Tasman, CV.

Deira, Acacia-N, Al Azizoo, Orient III, Sam Eagle, Indigo Ocean, Nahide-M and Fair Spirit are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, foil, wheat and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 54179 tonnes, comprising 28915 tonnes imports and 25264 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried In 1454 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

CV. Deira and Nedlloyed Tasman sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning while MV. Saf Avon and Nahide-M will sail later today.

Two ships MT. Saf Avon and CGM Strauss are expected to take berths at QICT Terminals respectively on Wednesday, June 22.
