Meanwhile another ship carrying 9,980 tonnes Soyabean oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the port at forty three percent on Tuesday where six ships C.V AL-Faradi, C.V Maersk Kingston, C.V Safmarine Ngami, M.T Able Sailor, M.V Steela Nova and M.T Karachi occupied berths to load/offload containers, general cargo, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A record cargo handling was achieved at the port where a volume of throughput during last 24 stood at 216,335 tonnes, comprising 145,997 tonnes imports and 70,338 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 7,267 containers (TEUs) (3,565 imports and 3,702 exports TEUs) were handled at the port.
Three ships C.V Safmarine Ngami, C.V Al-Faradi, and M.T Karachi sailed out on Wednesday morning while three more ships C.V Maersk Kingston, M.T Able sailor and M.V Stela Nova were expected to sail the same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V MSC Didem, C.V CMA CGM Lamatina, M.T Argent Bloom and M.V Embdens welvaat carrying containers, palm oil and general cargo are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
