Power shortfall increases to 3,000 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Wednesday surged to 3,000 MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,600 MW against the demand of 15,600 MW at 10:00 hours.

According to daily data released by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 4,440 MW, thermal 1,600 MW, Wind 33 MW and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,560 MW.
