Power shortfall further increases to 3,000 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Monday further surged to 3,000 MW from 2,900 MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,500 MW against the demand of 15,500 MW at 12:00 hours.

According to daily data released by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 4,730 MW, thermal 1,670 MW, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,100 MW.
