Power shortfall further surges to 2,300 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Wednesday again surged 2,300 MW from 2000 MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,900 MW against the demand of 15,200 MW at 10:30 hours.

According to daily data released by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 4,700 MW, thermal 1,770 MW, Wind 20 MW and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,430 MW.
