IESCO recovers Rs1390mn in recovery drive

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has recovered Rs.1390 million outstanding dues against various government institution during the recent recovery drive.

A senior IESCO official told APP here Thursday that the power supply to various institutions including Parliament House, Prime Minister and President Secretariats, Cabinet and Pak Secretariats, Supreme Court, Police, Capital Development Authority etc were suspended on April 29 for not clearing their dues on the directive of State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali.

He said that an amount of Rs.1390 million out of total Rs.27,827 million was recovered so far during the drive.

He said that outstanding dues against Prime Minister and President Houses, Supreme Court, Parliament House have been paid.

The CDA has paid partial payment, however, power supply to various CDA offices were not yet restored except for water treatment plants. The Federal police was still defaulter and not yet clear their dues, he added.
