FESCO starts power restoration after wind storm

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has started work to restore the electricity supply from 19 grid stations which were affected by gusty winds and heavy rain on Monday night.

A FESCO spokesman on Tuesday said gusty winds and thunderstorm had badly affected more than 100 feeders of 19 grid stations in Faisalabad, Sargodha and Jhang districts as a number of poles were uprooted and many trees had fallen on electricity lines.

He said line staff and engineers of the company had started restoration of the power supply from the affected grid stations a on war-footing. He hoped the electricity supply from most feeders would be restored in 12 hours.
