Sindh CM chairs meeting about housing society scheme for MPAs

The meeting discussed matters pertaining to allotment of land for all elected representatives/MPAs of Sindh Assembly for which housing society has been formed, said a statement.

The Sindh CM opined that the present government intended to solve the housing problems of MPAs and necessary land/plots will be allotted to registered cooperative housing society of the MPAs of Sindh Assembly.

He directed the officers of Revenue Department to assist the Committee for tracing, detecting clear land for allotment of plots to MPAs housing society scheme.

A committee comprising six members headed by Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani was formed to examine, visit and propose the sites/land places for further discussion and grant of required land.

The other members of committee are Jam Mehtab Dahar, MPA Dr. Sikandar Mendhro, Ghulam Ali Pasha, Anwar Ali Mahar and Nazar Muhammad Baloch.

The meeting also discussed issues of MAI KOLACHI cooperative Housing Society formed by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto during first tenure as prime minister.

The CM Sindh directed the officers concerned to resolve all issues and remove all hindrances, as the Board of Revenue had already allotted 79.20 acres of land for MAI KOLACHI Cooperative housing Society during the period of former chief minister Sindh Syed Abdullah Shah and the Society had already made necessary payment.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed all concerned departments, agencies and officers to finalize the issues on priority basis. He said that negligent and corrupt officials will be dealt with accordingly and prompt action will be taken against those who are found indulged in corruption and creating unnecessary hindrances.

The Chief Minister Sindh directed EDO (Revenue) Karachi to fulfill and complete all formalities and should ensure allotment/possession of 79-20 acres of land to MAI KOLACHI Cooperative Housing Society as early as possible.

The meeting was attended among others by Provincial Ministers, Agha Siraj Durrani, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Syed Ali Mardan Shah, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi, MPAs Dr. Sikandar Mendhro, Ghulam Qadir Chandi, Anwar Ali Mahar, Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh, Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Member (LU) Board of Revenue Sindh and other officials.
