`We are pleased to be the first to launch an official airline application for the BlackBerry PlayBook', said Celine Ho, Marketing Communications Manager of Cathay Pacific.

`I'm sure visitors to The Cabin lounge of Cathay Pacific will enjoy the exclusive preview of the exciting features on the BlackBerry PlayBook', she added.

A statement issued here said that the BlackBerry PlayBook will go on sale in Hong Kong from early July but passengers visiting Cathay Pacific's The Cabin lounge at Hong Kong International Airport can get an exclusive preview of the product, with the pre-installation of the Cathay Pacific Mobile application.

The Cathay Pacific has been a frontrunner in offering mobile services to its customers, it added.
