Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying Containers and Chemicals were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively. Meanwhile three more ships carrying Containers and Furnace Oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Friday where seven ships namely APL Oman, Jumme Trader, ER Denmark, Atlantic Glory, Ocean Flower, RBD Anema Core and AU Taurus are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical, urea, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 97844 tonnes comprising 92615 tonnes imports and 5229 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 950 containers (TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
