BAGHDAD: Iraq issued a new international tender to buy at least 50,000 tonnes of wheat to be sourced either from the United States, Canada, Australia, Ukraine or Russia, the trade ministry said on Wednesday.

The tender closes on May 19 and offers must remain valid up to May 23, a statement said.

Volumes in Iraq's wheat tenders are nominal and the country frequently buys more than it tenders for.
