Japan's JX Nippon shuts naphtha cracker due to ‘problem’

TOKYO: Japan's JX Nippon Oil & Energy said on Wednesday it had shut its 443,000 tonnes per year naphtha cracker in Kawasaki since Monday morning due to an unspecified problem.

A company spokeswoman did not give any further details.

The restart schedule for the cracker, which is located near Tokyo, has yet to be be set.
