Power shortfall surges to 2,200 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country again surged to 2,200 MW as the total generation on Tuesday was recorded at 9,300 MW against the demand of 11,500 MW at 0930 hours.

According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 1,770 MW, Thermal 1,330 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,200 MW.
