Power shortfall surges to 2,100 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country again surged to 2,100 MW as the total generation on Monday was recorded as 9,300 MW against the demand of 11,400 MW at 1100 hours.

According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 1,980 MW, Thermal 1,270 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,050 MW.
