Rs17,374mn released for various power sector projects so far

ISLAMABAD: The government has released Rs17374.170 million out of Rs51,543.425 million allocated for various power sector projects so far under the current fiscal year Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

According to Planning Commission data, an amount of Rs17,000 million was allocated for the construction of Diamer Basha Dam Project Land Acquisition (4500 MW) in the PSDP which has been released for the said purpose.

A sum of Rs54 million has been released for setting up 132 KV Sub stations at Deep Sea Port Gwadar, Rs30.400 million for 132 KV Sub stations at Singhar Housing Scheme Gwadar and Rs40 million for 132 KV T/line Balozai Balochistan.

Similarly, an amount of Rs25.200 million was released for 33 KV transmission line from 132 KV grid stations Thana Bula Khan, Rs21 million for construction of 132 KV grid station at Dera Bughti and 132 KV Sui-Dera Bughti transmission line, Rs37.770 million for construction of 132 KV grid station at Mall and 132 KV SDT Noshki-Dalbandin transmission line.

A sum of Rs100 million was also released for the study of Master Plan of 6600 MW Pakistan Power Park at Gaddani, Balochistan while Rs45.600 million was released for electrification of village in Dera Bughti.
