LSE gains 21.33 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 21.33 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5019.71 points and closed at 5041.04 points.

The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.478 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.891 million shares, showing an upward move of 586,600 shares. While, out of the total 104 active scrips 27 moved up, 19 shed values and 58 remaine equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Murree Brewery Company, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Tobacco Company by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 27.53, Rs 17.75 and Rs 6.21 respectively.

United Bank Limited, Nishat Mills Limited and Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited lost their per share value by Rs 6.01, Rs 5.10 and Rs 2.00 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 1.183 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 795,000 shares and Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 445,500 shares.
