LSE looses 3.93 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by losing 3.93 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 4960.30 points and closed at 4956.37 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.829 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.886 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.056 million shares.

While, out of the total 96 active scrips 31 moved up, 15 shed values and 50 remained equal. The Major Gainers of the day were Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Engro Foods Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 15.17, Rs 4.50 and Rs 4.10 respectively.

National Bank of Pakistan, Maple Leaf Cement Factory and Nishat Mills Limited lost their per share value by Rs 2.57, Rs 1.43 and Rs 1.10 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 892,000 shares, K-Electric Limited with 691,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 333,000 shares.
