LSE looses 4.99 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 4.99 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 4909.05 points and closed at 4904.06 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.548 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.668 million shares, showing an upward move of 1.879 million shares. While, out of the total 92 active scrips 17 moved up, 18 shed values and 57 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Treet Corporation Limited, D.G.Khan Cement Company Limited and Maple Leaf Cement Fatory by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.16, Rs 2.85 and Rs 1.38 respectively.

Engro Corporation Limited, Engro Fertilizers Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 7.18, Rs 2.21 and Rs 1.50 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 1.517 million shares, NIB Bank Limited with 387,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 314,500 shares.
