PM wounded in shelling of Yemen palace mosque

Published Updated

"The prime minister, the head of parliament and several other officials who attended Friday prayers in the mosque at the presidential palace were wounded in the attack," General People's Congress spokesman Tareq al-Shami told AFP.

"The Ahmar (tribe) have crossed all the red lines," he said, blaming the attack on pro-opposition tribal chief Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar whose forces are at war with troops loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
