71 shopkeepers fined for fleecing public in low income areas

KARACHI: Karachi administration in its crackdown against profiteers and adulterators in low income localities of Karachi imposed a fine worth Rs. 87,000 on 71 culprits.

Karachi Commissioner office sharing details on Monday details of the exercise undertaken by city administration on Sunday said areas covered included least developed parts of Gulshan e Iqbal, North Nazimabad, Gulberg, Garden besides Bin Qasim, Korangi and Landhi.

Those fined were three flour millers, 27 chicken sellers, 12 grocers, seven green grocers, eight fruit sellers and 14 milk sellers.
