He said the media should play its vital role in giving coverage to the positive performances of the Government.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Cattle and Horse Show held at Municipal Ground here on Wednesday which is a part of six-day international mega event of "Hamara Mirpurkhas Aamoon Ka Shehar (Our Mirpurkhas the city of mangoes) Festival 2011.
Mir Munawar Talpur further said that interest has increased among the masses for seeing the different kinds of cattle including camel, horses, goats, cows etc and their dances during the show.
On this occasion District Administrator and President of the Festival Organising Committee Ghulam Hussain Memon, DIG Police Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand and DPO Riaz Ahmed Soomro were also present.
Healthy and beautiful cattle including cows, bulls, camels, goats, sheep, oxen, horses, etc were present in the cattle show.
Horse and camel races were also held while horses gave a display of dances to different musical tunes.
On the occasion, MNA Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpur gave a cash prize of Rs 10000 to camel rider Mohammad Moosa Rind for the best dance by his camel while a cash prize of Rs 5000 was given to camel rider Soomar Rahimoon.
More than 300 cattle-heads including domestic cattle were had been brought from Mithi, Umerkot, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Ghotki, Sukkur as well as from various parts of Punjab.
This cattle and horse show will continue for two days.
