ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Resources Zahid Muzaffar on Thursday visited the head office of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and lauded its performance.

Amjad Parvez Janjua, the company's Managing Director briefed on the role and performance of PSO as well as present and potential challenges for the entity.

The presentation covered the Company's profile, operational and marketing performance, regulatory environment, organizational dynamics and strategic thrust.

The advisor commended the marketing and financial performance benchmarks achieved by the Company during the first half of Financial Year 14 (July-December 2013).

He advised the company to continue with management and strategic thrust in line with international best practices. Zahid Muzaffar stated that PSO's success is a role model for other companies in the country.

He assured the continued support of the government to the PSO management.
