Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Six ships carrying containers, mud cock, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, IOCB Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Tuesday, 11th February. Meanwhile one more ships carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Wednesday where total eight ships namely Hanjin Sandiego, Maersk Kalamata, Safemarine Ngami, Iniaco Brave, Stolt Helluiand, Coral III, M.T Lahore and Golden Coverant are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, chemical, mud cock, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 133732 tonnes comprising 96499 tonnes imports 37233 tonnes indusive of containerized cargo carried in 3389 containers(TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
