LAHORE: Kissan Board Pakistan has urged the government to take effective measures to ensure lower prices of fertilisers and agri-inputs.

Condemning the recent price hike of fertilizers, KBP secretary-general Ramzan Roharvi alleged that a "mafia" was involved in exploitation of farmers, saying: "Farmers are in dire need of fertilizers and pesticides these days for wheat, sugarcane and other crops of the current season." Talking to APP Roharvi alleged that the prices of fertilizers were increased manifold by a mafia during the current month.

KBP leader urged the concerned authorities to utilize all possible resources to ensure fertilizer availability on low prices.
