Circular No 4/2014 issued on January 31, calling upon all interested auditing firms to file their applications along with relevant documents by February 10.
Back in February 2012, the SECP had issued the list of approved auditors eligible to conduct the audit of insurance, reinsurance and takaful entities, which was subject to a periodical review in order to accommodate new firms and to re-categorize the firms on the basis of fresh evidence, says a statement issued by the Commission here today.
The circular states that the SECP shall review the applications and shall issue the list of approved auditors to be appointed as external auditors to conduct the statutory audit of insurance, reinsurance and takaful entities.
