PSF encouraging researchers to pursue scientific knowledge

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is encouraging the researchers, scientists and faculty members of public sector universities and research organizations in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

The grants are in the form of supporting research  projects and financial assistance in the form of travel grants to the faculty members to help them present their latest researches.

Talking to APP Chairman PSF Dr Manzoor H Soomro said grants are also provided for organizing scientific conferences, workshops and seminars besides providing funding for research projects in different scientific fields.

PSF also holds research in the areas of agriculture sciences,  biological sciences, Bio-technology, Chemical Sciences, Computer/Information Technology, Mathematical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Earth Science, Medical Science and Physics.

The foundation provides grants to universities and other research and development organizations for projects undertaken by individuals or groups of scientists.

He said that grants are provided to scientists, technologists  and doctors so that they can present their research work at international forums.

The foundation provides financial assistance to universities and research and development organizations for organizing science

conferences, seminars, workshops and symposia on important scientific topics where scientists present their research findings, he added.
