Without citing any sources, the newspaper said talks between Valeo Foods, which is owned by Irish food and agri-business Origin Enterprises and British-based private equity firm CapVest, and Jacob Fruitfield have been going on for several months and are close to completion.
Jacob Fruitfield is best-known for its biscuit brands which include Kimberley, Mikado and Fig Rolls. Valeo Foods owns beans maker Batchelors.($1=.7023 Euro)
