South Korea bonds edge down as lack of momentum slows down trade

SEOUL: South Korean bonds edged down but were nearly flat on Monday as a lack of momentum yielding events gave investors little reason to make big bids.

Traders also prices were also weaker as rate cut bets continued to fade after the Bank of Korea held interest rates steady on Jan. 9.

Yield on the benchmark 10-year government bonds were unchanged at 3.650 percent, while lead March futures on three-year treasury bonds ended down 0.04 points at 105.62.
