Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Tuesday.

Meanwhile six more ships carrying containers, wheat, gen. cargo, furnace oil and edible oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Berth occupancy was 35% at the Port on Wednesday where a four ships namely Fowairet, CGM Debussy, Safmarine Ngami and M.T Gemini Pioneer are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers and urea respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 90136 tonnes comprising 56578 tonnes imports and 335587 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4266 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
