Four quay cranes and six tyred cranes will be delivered before July 1, 2015. Remaining one quay crane and nine tyred cranes will be handed over before September 1, 2015, according to ZPMC.
With a designed annual throughput capacity of 1.5 million to 2 million TEUs, the South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT) is located in Karachi Port.
SAPT is situated at the estuary of the Keamari Groyne basin, providing the most convenient access to ships entering Karachi. The new facility is scheduled to be operational by mid 2015, according to hph.com.hk It will have a total quay length of 1,500 metres, a yard area of 85 hectares and depths alongside of up to 18 metres.
