Duber Khwar Hydropower Station starts test generation

ISLAMABAD: Project Director Iftikhar Ahmed has said that 130 megawatt of electricity will be available to the national grid very soon.

According to an interview on Radio Pakistan, the 130-megawatt Hydropower Station Duber Khwar, on the right bank tributary of the Indus River in Kohistan district, has started its test power generation.

He said Unit 1 of the hydropower station has been synchronized to the national grid.

He said after completion of the major civil works activities in April last year, the hydropower stations was commissioned within a record period of eight months.
