61pc Pakistani seek advice regarding important decisions: Poll

ISLAMABAD: The results of a recent Gilani Poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan show that as many as 61% Pakistanis turn

Among the remaining, a significant 23% do not take advice from anyone and make their decisions completely independently while 15% turn to friends, religious leaders and other options.

In the survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were asked the following question, "There are times when one has to make important decisions.

Who do you turn to for advice at such times?" Results show that an overwhelming 61% of the respondents said they choose to take the advice of their family members while 23% said they do not take anyone's advice and make their decision independently.

8% respondents said they turn to their friends for suggestions, 4% seek advice from religious leaders while 3% do Istakhara to help them in making the decision and 1% did not respond.
