Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying container and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Tuesday.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying container and edible oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Wednesday where total eight ships namely M.V Al Farahidi, Maersk Kingston, Safmarine Ngami, Alam Manis, M.V Hay, Densa Leopard, Inlaco Brave and M.T Rubi-I are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers, rice, cement, wheat, and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 85429 tonnes comprising 48497 tonnes and 36932 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3692 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
