Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Wednesday.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, diesel oil and sun flower seeds are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 35 percent at the port on Thursday where total four ships namely Nedlloyd Europa, CGM Chopin, Christos Theo and Genuine are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 66310 tonnes comprising 41290 tonnes imports and 25020 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2541 containers (TEUs) was handle at the port during last hours.
