LSE downs by 33.58 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 33.58 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 4663.91 points and closed at 4630.33 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.455 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.921 million shares, showing a downward slide of 466,150 shares. While, out of the total 98 active scrips only 10 moved up, 29 shed values and 59 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Nishat Mills Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and Ferozsons Laboratories Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.98, Rs 1.04 and Re 0.98 respectively.

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Engro Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 11.42, Rs 6.13 and Rs 4.41 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Dewan Salman Fibre Limited with 496,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 252,000 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 188,500 shares.
