Meanwhile three more ships with fertilizers, palm oil and LGP also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the port at fifty percent on Tuesday where seven ships namely C.V Sealand Washington, C.V Al Abdali, M.V Alam Sayang, M.V CMB Coralie, M.V Lito, M.T Ardmore Centurion and M.T Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sunflower seeds, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 100,286 tonnes, comprising 71,481 tonnes imports and 28,805 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,005 containers (TEUs) (1,970 imports and 1,035 exports TEUs) were handled at the port.
Two ships, container vessel' Al-Abdali' tanker 'Quetta' sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning and another containerized 'Sealand Washington' is expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Three ships C.V CMA CGM Verdi, M.T Al-Soor-II and M.T Oceanus-9 carrying containers, diesel oil and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO and EVTL respectively on Wednesday, while M.V Ellensborg is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day C.V Kerstin-s and C.V APL Oman are due to arrive on Thursday.
