Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, gen.cargo and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Monday.

Meanwhile one more ship carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65 percent at the port on Tuesday where total seven ships namely Nysted Maersk, CMB Coralie, Alam Sayang, HHL Richards Bay, Lito, Stolt Viking and MT. Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offlaod containers, cement, gen. cargo sunflower seed, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 88440 tonnes comprising 68217 tonnes import and 20223 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1280 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
